Material Editing - Leaf

Learnt a lot with this tutorial. Firstly with importing images and using them to create opacity effects. I can see how this could be useful with creating similar 3d objects such as plants or insects such as a butterfly for a 3d stamp. Secondly the material editor looks very confusing and it could take a while to get the hang of things. If used correctly it will make the 3d stamps look very professional.

Helix

This is another technique I like that 3ds uses to make complicated objects in a simple way. Again i see this as having more use in the 2nd part of this module, however maybe I will be able to apply the technique in a similar way with one of my stamp ideas.

Chess Piece

I really like how simple it was to create this object that looks like it could be quite complicated to make. I can see how the same technique could be applied to make other symmetrical objects. I think this will have more use in the 2nd part of this module although the idea of symmetry may be useful when creating the 3d stamps.

Banana?

This did not go as well as i had hoped for. I found the manipulation tools hard to manage. I think more vertices and polygons need to be added in order to make it look more like a banana. Anyway it is all practice and I learned a lot about editable polys and soft selection.
